How should we think of inequality in education? What counts as educational equity, and what are the obstacles to it? Inspired by the Strategic Planning Framework's commitment to structural change toward equity and inclusion, this symposium explores how sociology of education studies these questions, illustrating the ideas with research done in South Africa, Hungary, and Taiwan. It then addresses what we might do next, and how to get a public hearing for these ideas.
