On Saturday, March 19 at 3 PM, the Department of Music presents Chamber Orchestra First Editions, conducted by James Freeman. The program features the following works:
- Milton Babbitt, excerpt from Transfigured Notes,
- W.A. Mozart, Divertimento for Strings K.136
- George Walker, Lyric for Strings
- Jay Fluellen, Time Diverted, newly commissioned work for string orchestra
- William Grant Still, Ennanga, for solo harp (Elizabeth Hainen) and strings
This event will be held at Haverford College’s new Michael Jaharis Recital Hall, and is free and open to the public. Please note that for COVID safety, indoor masking is required.
