"Elizabeth Gray Vining: A Quaker in Post-War Japan" explores
issues related to U.S-Japanese relations in the post-World War II
period through the eyes of Elizabeth Gray Vining. Vining was a Quaker
educator and writer who served as the tutor to then-Crown Prince Akihito
from 1946 to 1950. Curated by Ella Culton '23, the exhibit features
materials from the Elizabeth Gray Vining papers held in Quaker &
Special Collections.
