Marc Adelberg '08
Research Supervisor, MLB Network & NHL Network
Spanish & Italian Major
As Research Supervisor for MLB Network and NHL Network, Marc oversees
editorial content distributed to producers and on-air talent, providing
statistics and storylines to enhance the quality of coverage on the two
24-hour networks. Although based primarily out of the Secaucus
studios, Marc has traveled to over 20 cities to work at the World Series
and Stanley Cup Final, All-Star Games, and Drafts, among other events.
Marc got his start in the sports broadcasting world as an intern for
NBC Sports in 2007 and returned to the company for his first job after
graduating, as a runner at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. Soon
after returning stateside, he took a job as a tape logger at MLB Network
ahead of its 2009 launch.
At Haverford, Marc was a double major in Spanish and Italian (at
BMC). Outside of his studies, he hosted a sports talk radio show on
WHRC, sang with the Humtones, lettered in Men's Squash and captained
Men's Tennis. Marc is a proud co-founder (with Sarah Gilarsky '10) of
Haverford's Media, Entertainment and Sports (MES) alumni affinity group.
The organization hosts networking happy hours (in NYC and LA) and
holds professional development events for alumni and students alike,
creating a connection and talent pipeline between current Haverford
students and MES alumni.
